Hello! My name is Jay Cox, and I was born and raised in Oakland. I am a proud graduate of Howard University where I studied Media Production. After completing my education, I decided to return back to my hometown of Oakland, CA and  establish my media production company (Jay Cox Films). With over 7 years of film production experience, my goal was to offer media services to local businesses and non-profit organizations in the community with a  focus in creating high-quality video content that showcases the unique culture and stories of Oakland. I am passionate about supporting local businesses and empowering the voices of marginalized communities through the power of storytelling. 

Through my work, I aim to uplift and empower the voices of the community, while also providing valuable skills and opportunities for the next generation of media professionals. I am committed to making a positive impact in Oakland and using my talents to create a more inclusive and diverse media landscape.
